I can think of nothing more exciting than hosting my very own tea party - inviting lovely people over and having a table full of delicious, beautiful food when they arrive. Getting out my best, vintage tablecloth and my best, vintage tea set and spending a few hours eating, drinking and laughing. This is my idea of fun!
So, I've put together my ideas for a beautiful tea party with some of my favourite bakes like Cheeseboard Tart, Cheese Scones, Apple and Fennel Sausage Rolls, Chocolate and Hazelnut Cakes, Rhubarb Crumble and Custard Cupcakes and of course the 'heroine' cake for the table, my Lemon Trifle with homemade meringue, honeycomb, lemon Swiss roll and. lemon posset.
I truly hope these ideas inspire and excite you as much as they excite me.
